Ethnographic mission, led by Maurizio Catani
Order of the Junta de Extremadura (General Council), February 2003.
These images were made in order to create a visual memory of some
aspects of rural life in Extremadura and changes in the regional capital (Merida).
Our investigations have specifically been given on the cultivation of olive
and cherry in the region of Valverde de la Vera and Las Hurdes.
We also, as part of this research produced several films.
The collection of images gathered is presented in three new ethnographic museums in the region.
